"Where Champions Begin"
The Melbourne Leveller Series is for those players competing at Club level or for our very keen young players wanting to reach their potential who want to play tournament tennis.
In this healthy, competive environment players play at least 5 matches each day win or lose, maximising their development and enjoyment of the game. This is in direct contrast to the more threatening knock out style tournaments. The Melbourne Leveller Series is the stepping-stone from weekend club tennis to the more demanding Australian Junior Legends Series, Weekend Matchplay series or the Melbourne Twilight Series and Australian Ranking events.
The leveller tournament draw is structured so that players find their level and compete against those competitors who have performed equally in preliminary qualifying rounds.
Most Leveller events run over 3 days with players reporting at 9:45am each morning and matches are completed progressively till about 3:30pm each day. Players can compete on however many days they chose or play over the complete duration of the tournament.
The Leveller System is a multi-match tournament that allows all players regardless of age and ability, to continue playing matches throughout the entire tournament against players of similar standard.
